Birds of La Palma

February 2013. The island of La Palma (Canary Islands, Spain) is not really the best place for birdwatching or bird photography. Birds are not abundant…  you’ll see an occasional preybird, some crows, some very small singing-birds and that’s about it….   But if you know where to look, you can find some migratory birds in the winter season. They’re just there for the same reason as the many European tourists: getting some sun!  🙂
