June 14th – July, 2025, High Fens. Walking on the wooden paths (“caillebottis” in French, “vlonderpaden” in Dutch) of the Belgian highland, the marsh bloomers just above the high grasses attract immediate attention.

Dressed in purple

July 2024, East-Belgium. The purple digitalis purpurea can be seen in large numbers almost everywhere this year, amidst the forest and, most of all, in every clearing or broad path.

First carpets of wild flowers

April, 4th, 2021. In the nearby wood, the “Hallerbos”, the first carpets of wild flowers start covering the ground. The first visitors enjoy the scene whereas the forest rangers are on heavy guard!
