Eurasian Coot

Mid- may, 2011. A day of walking led us over the bridge at Arquennes. We noticed a family of Eurasian coot with two chicks, nesting on what is a leftover of the old bridge (and the one that’s in use now is already old and in need of repair !!). Patricia made a few photo’s of the scene, but with only a 200mm lens at our disposal, more than a general overview was not possible (1st picture). I went back about one week later and, using “more power”, made a few close-ups of the chicks and the parents.
